Without struggle, there can be no progress- Fredrick Douglass

Hi, I’m Brandon Gardner.

Before entering the world of education, I received my Associates Degree in liberal Arts from Victor Valley Community College located in Victorville, CA. Since then, I went on to obtain a dual bachelors degree, one in psychology and the other in human development. After graduating, I obtain a multiple subjects teaching credential and a Masters of Education concentrating on STEM education. I then began formally teaching at the elementary level for San Bernardino City Unified School District. This experience allowed me to build a strong foundation in teaching pedagogy and an understanding of various systems that contribute to student success. After years of teaching, I decided to obtain a Masters of Science in Counseling from California State University, San Bernardino.

I always knew I wanted to be a counselor. I chose teaching initially because I believe it would provide pedagogical foundations that would strengthen my counseling approach. As an adolescence, I found myself facing certain adverse life experiences that ultimately placed me on a path towards undesirable outcomes. It was a clinical counselor that played an intricate role in changing my trajectory. From the moment forward, I knew I wanted to make this same impact in the lives of youth.

My work is grounded in creating safe, supportive, and culturally responsive environments where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. I focus on building strong relationships, fostering self-awareness, and helping clients develop practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Whether working with students, families, or individuals, I am committed to empowering others to grow, heal, and reach their full potential.
